Artist BossLogic, who frequently creates wonderful art, including the piece from the Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla reveal, showed off the creation on Twitter along with a black edition of the console. The Miles Morales PS5 is certainly the standout of the two, however, offering a subtle but elegant Spider logo on the side, with dark blue and red accents.

BossLogic also included a customized PS5 DualSense controller, which is bolder than the console itself. The Spider logo is prominently displayed on the controller’s touchpad, which is bright red. Sony has teased plenty of DualSense features, including advanced haptic feedback, which may make swinging around the city feel all the more incredible in a player’s hand.

Special edition consoles are nothing new, and the design here looks like something a player could pick up at retail. Spider-Man on PS4 got a special edition console, which was a bold red with a white Spider logo on it, and one of the better designs of the system to have released. Even the black version of the PS5 BossLogic designed looks pretty sleek, and fans have been wondering if Sony will introduce alternate color options.

Part of the demand for alternate designs of the console stems from its controversial design. Fans have been somewhat torn about the PS5’s futuristic design, which seems to stand out quite a bit. That being said, the design of new technology usually takes some time to adjust to, so it may grow on some people.

In the meantime, PS5 memes have popped up around the internet, so at least some good has come from the odd shape. That being said, Sony could take some notes from the quality of the custom Spider-Man: Miles Morales PS5 design, as it’s one of the best so far.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is currently in development.
