Well, things don’t work the way you expect them to be, and before I knew it, I had phone calls, text messages and Facebook messages from fans back in India and around the world; the BBC wanted to do an audio interview; the Premier League magazine show wanted me to be the fan of the day and I had requests for interviews from local newspapers in Birmingham. Well, my blog went a bit viral in football circles and what followed, left me a little dizzy in the head....

Kenneth Kelly, 58, of Ocala, referred to the Capitol building as the “White House” in two text messages sent to a relative, according to the affidavit by an unnamed special agent with the FBI. “Inside White house [sic] via breaking in windows,” Kelly allegedly wrote in one text, alongside an image that showed him inside what appears to be the U.S. Capitol building. Kelly sent another photo that depicted a crowd of rioters scaling the outer structures of the Capitol building, writing: “Patriots stormed the White House, broke in while senate was in sessiondenating [sic] Arizona....

However, for reasons the FA Cup winning side started to break up quite quickly. Of that side, four key figures moved on in a relative short space of time leaving Arsene Wenger with a dearth of world class players and more importantly renowned winners....

There was little to separate both sides in regulation time, as two uninspired attacks came up against two resolute defenses. The Gunners enjoyed the better opportunities in the first half. Hector Bellerin, Mesut Ozil, Dinos Mavropanos, Shkodran Mustafi, Nacho Monreal, and Laurent Koscielny have resumed full training. In case you didn’t know… The club has been battling with a series of first-team regulars out with injuries. Ahead of the game at Blackpool, the club had a lot of injury concerns. Mesut Ozil was said to be out with a knee injury and was being assessed. The same was said of the likes of Shkodran Mustafi and Nacho Monreal, with both out with hamstring injuries....

Fabregas joined the Serie B side this summer when he made a move from AS Monaco. The former Chelsea and Barcelona star is also a minor shareholder in the club. Now, his former Gunners teammate Henry will be joining as a minor shareholder as well. Losing Theo Walcott was a blow to Arsenal and a lack of natural width and goals from wide made it look increasingly difficult for Arsenal to maintain their title challenge. Young Serge Gnabry seems to be a viable answer to the “who can replace Theo” question and he has certainly proven he has the talent to play regularly for this Arsenal team. However, with the return of Oxlade-Chamberlain it looks like Gnabry isn’t going to play as much as anticipated, or hoped, by some....

Wenger has come under huge pressure with his contract due to expire and the FA Cup representing Arsenal’s last chance to win a trophy in 2016-17. The Gunners have not won the Premier League since 2004, but Perez believes the best outcome for the club would be the 67-year-old signing a new deal. Wenger has already made his decision on whether to stay at Arsenal and although he is yet to announce it publicly, Perez expects him to stay in his role as manager....

It was a moment, albeit one that had become pretty common in recent years. Arsenal were playing Norwich, and a particularly impressive spell of play saw the faithful chant in unison, tongue firmly in cheek – “Boring, Boring Arsenal…Boring, Boring Arsenal” Down on the touchline, one man looked visibly much happier than he had appeared in years. According to a Glastonbury Police Department arrest log obtained by Newsweek, the student, 18-year-old Hollister Tryon, was arrested on two counts of computer crime in the third degree. Investigators said he is accused of “unlawfully accessing” a computer database where students go to input items into the yearbook, such as their senior quotes. Tryon, who was at the time a student at Glastonbury High School, allegedly edited an unsuspecting student’s senior quote to say “It is a quite special secret pleasure how the people around us fail to realize what is really happening to them,” which is a quote from Hitler, but was falsely attributed by the student to George Floyd, the man murdered by Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin in May 2020....

Man of the Match – Olivier Giroud (Arsenal) It was again a typically Arsenal game at the Emirates. Attack, attack and more attack for large parts of the game, go down a goal completely against the run of play, and then suddenly decide to be more prolific in front of goal and plot the escape from jail. With the opportunity to go ahead of Sp*rs and Chelsea being presented in the form of cannon fodder teams like Norwich City, it looked at one stage that Arsenal would be making it harder for themselves from now till the end of the season....

Twitter is simultaneously a wonderful place to engage, discuss and debate football with my fellow Gooners, and fans of other clubs, and a plague. The horrible gnawing sensation I get at the back of my head when I read some of the stuff that is sent to me leaves with me a heady, sick feeling in my stomach when I try not to react to some of the stuff I see....

‘Wenger needs to copy Mourinho’ The Gunners lost out on a spot in the Champions League for the first time in 20 years by finishing fifth in the Premier League this season. Striker Edinson Cavani converted Blaise Matuidi’s pass from close range to give PSG the lead but Arsenal ended a tough first half on a high when striker Olivier Giroud converted a penalty, reports www.arsenal.com. The penalty was awarded after their Chilean forward Alexis was brought down by defender Grzegorz Krychowiak at the Emirates Stadium here on Wednesday. Arsenal were lucky to take the lead when PSG’s Italian midfielder Marco Verratti scored a freakish own goal....

Paul Pogba, in particular, has been poor in most of the matches and Nicholas feels that it’s his lofty price tag that’s preventing him getting the axe at the moment. Pogba signed for the Red Devils this summer for a world record £89 million and was expected to lead the United charge along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic but it has not gone according to script for the 23-year-old. In a column for Sky sports, Nicholas wrote, “I am dropping Man(chester) United to fifth having originally put them third....

The Germany international, who has faced criticism after Arsenal lost two of their first three matches to open the new Premier League season, took to social media last week to call on prominent ex-players to “stop talking and start supporting” and start to “behave like legends”. Ozil has under a year left on his contract at Emirates Stadium and Wright feels he should sign a renewal if he cares so strongly about the club....
