Former Swindon Town, Middlesbrough and Sheffield United forward Jan Aage Fjortoft, now working as a journalist in Germany and Norway took social networking site Twitter to declare Arsenal as the ‘big favourites’ to sign the German international saying he speaks with the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger ‘often’. Interestingly, Fjortoft was also the first journalist to break the news that Mesut Ozil was on his way from Real Madrid to the Emirates, so he looks like to be a reliable source when it comes to things about Arsenal....

Many have predicted a gruelling night for the Gunners with Pep Guardiola’s side in fine form as they have opened up a 15 point lead at the top of the Bundesliga and arrive in north London as reigning European champions. Hailed as the best in the world, can Arsenal really stop the Bayern juggernaut? Arsenal men slumped to a 3-1 defeat when they faced the Bavarians last year and it will take something special for Ozil and co to eliminate the German giants....

The 28-year-old forward has wanted to leave the club for several months in pursuit of regular time after finding his opportunites limited at Emirates Stadium last season. RUMOURS: AC Milan want Aguero The Spaniard jumped with compatriot Marcos Alonso as the Chelsea man broke the deadlock at Stamford Bridge, with Bellerin’s head clashing with his counterpart’s upper-arm. After receiving medical attention for several minutes, Bellerin was eventually replaced by Gabriel Paulista and Arsenal went on to lose 3-1. Bellerin posted on Twitter afterwards to reassure fans and Arsenal provided a further positive update on Wednesday. “Hector Bellerin was substituted after just 17 minutes of Saturday’s London derby against Chelsea following a heavy collision with Marcos Alonso,” a brief statement read....

In response, Unai Emery brought on Arsenal’s most expensive signing Nicolas Pepe at the start of the second half. Although Pepe did not play a role in Aubameyang’s 64th-minute equalizer, he completed the most take-ons in the second half among the two teams, as Arsenal hold the top spot on the Premier League table, albeit temporarily. Surprisingly, this was the first time in 10 years that Arsenal managed to rack up 6 points in their opening two games of seasons....

The initial years were quite difficult since the club had to repay the stadium debt and hence had a very limited budget to spend on big players. Key players like Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri, Robin Van Persie all left the club in search of success elsewhere. The Toffees are fresh off the back of a historical midweek 0-1 victory at Old Trafford, after a late Bryan Oviedo handed Everton their first win in the fixture for 21 years. Martinez has talked up his desire of ending Everton’s inferiority complex when facing the ‘top sides’, and he will get another chance to move towards this goal when facing Arsenal away on Sunday, a fixture Everton have failed to win each year since 1996....

Ramsey, 27, has been named in the startling line-up for the Gunners but Sterling, 23, has not been included in City’s squad due to a hamstring problem. Gabriel Jesus has been named amongst the substitutes for Pep Guardiola’s side alongside Ederson with Claudio Bravo starting in goal. David Ospina starts between the sticks for Arsenal, who are lining up in a back three for the Wembley showpiece, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang features up top for the Gunners....

The Gunners claimed a 1-0 win at Emirates Stadium thanks to Reiss Nelson’s second-half strike against the Championship leaders. Take the current imbroglio involving Christoph Büchel, a Swiss installation artist, and that capacious reclamation of derelict industrial space, the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (a.k.a. MASS MoCA) in North Adams, in the western part of the state. MASS MoCA invited him to do a large installation piece called “Training Ground for Democracy.” The artist accepted, apparently on a handshake, and promptly asked the museum to fetch him, among a long list of things, a police car, a voting booth and a two-story house that could be disassembled....
